I applied for H1 from india through company A in June 2004 and it got approved in August 2004.
I got married in Nov2004 and came to US on h4 visa in dec2004.
Now I would like to get on to my h1 visa which had got approved in August'04. (Note: The H1 didn't come with I-94 as I had applied it from india)
1) Can I get a transfer of status from h4 to h1 being in US?
2) If I cant get the transfer of status, Can I go to mexico for H1 stamping?
I dont want to go to india for my h1 stamping as getting an appointment is
taking a long time (4 months)..
Please suggest..
