My wife has come to US on H4 visa and we have also applied for GC(waiting for our EAD). We got an approval for H1 for my wife in Dec 03 but she did not get job until May04. In Feb 04 we went to Canada on a visiting visa and we returned back on H4 thinking that she needs to goto her home country for H1 stamping. After we returned she got a job on H1 and she joined the company and she is working till date. When we entered into US from Canada there is nothing mentioned about I-94, but there only a date mentioned that she entered Canada on so and so dates. Now, What are the consequences and are there any precautions to be taken since she entered on H4 without knowing. Does she need to quit her job or can she keep working. It almost 6 months since she joined the job and still she is working.Please give me your valuable suggestions.
