h4 to h1 (first time H1b).. Canada or Mexico

Hi ,

I am currently on h4 visa(finger printing done in India) . My H1 was filed when I was in India . All my degrees are from India (Masters Eng Comp Sc.). My workexperience is also from India (s/w) .

Is it safe to go to mexico or canada for visa interview ?

Which are the consulates in canada & mexico dont create much fuss for third country nationals ?

Please let me know your views its very urgent.
