I live in Chicago. I have come to the U.S on a H4 and started pursuing my studies. I have decided to convert to F1 for OPT purpose. But the new rule states that I have to be on an F1 for 9 months to get a OPT. If I apply for my F1 now can you tell me how long it will take me to get it? I want an OPT and due to the new rule i m having problems . Can you help me ?
