H4 to F1 Visa; Unique Situation

I'm in H4 currently. But I'm have got admission in a school for my higher education. I have to get my F1 visa within 2 months as the schools starts around August. The problem is, my H4 is expiring in a month. So, we applied for H4 renewal just now. We got to know the admission offer only after submitting H4 extension application. Did anyone come across this situation. Can I cancel my H4 extension application after submitting the application? How do I get my F1?

If I need to hire a consultant, can you please suggest me a consultant in Chennai, India?

Please throw some light on the issue.

Don't hire a consultant in India. If you need US immigration assistance, always use a licensed attorney with a specialty in immigration law. You will find these via the AILA website.

The fastest and easiest way to solve your problem per your question is to go for F-1 stamping in India and enter on that stamping no sooner than 1 month before the start of classes. F1 COS is not very fast and you may not receive it in time. Depending on your school plans, you may study on H4 visa during COS. This will not work if you have an assistantship and must begin working when school starts.

The DSO at the university can help you sort out the best approach for your situation without paying legal fees since your question is very common.

Thanks for the reply. My main problem is, my H4 is expiring within a month. My H4 extension application is still in progress. So, I will get my H4 only after 1 1/2 month. But I cannot wait till then to apply for F1. Is there a way to stop my H4 extension application? or continue to apply for F1 when H4 is on progress. Please let me know.
