H4 stamping in Mumbai (URGENT)

Hi,

I'm planning to get my wife H4's stamping in Mumbai for the first time. Can someone let me know what all documents are required. I was going through the discussion forum and figured out that I-129 and LCA (certified by Attorney) is required.

I checked with my employer and he has only I-129 with him. Also
the attorney office that filed my petition is closed.

Is there any way to get LCA from the INS. Can any one other
than attorney certify I-129 and LCA.

Any help would be appreciated

I don't think I-129 and LCA is mandatory for H4.I think if you put ORIGINAL I-797 approval notice then they may not ask for I-129 +LCA.

A friend of mine recently applied without I-129 +LCA and got his wife's H4 for first time.

Is it drop box for H4 (first time) at the Mumbai consulate? If so, how many days it takes to get the visa.
 
Keep I-129 and LCA handy. I read that consulate sometimes asking for I-129 and LCA for H4 too. (sounds stupid ..still)

You can use drop box for first time H4.

what I heard is that mumbai consulate needs interview for first time H4 candidate, while at chennai dropbox is preferred...
