H4 stamping at Chennai Consulate

Hello

I am on 7th Year H1B(till Dec 2006). while applying for my extension, we applied for my wife's H4 and it was approved.
My wife wants to go to wants to attend our niece's marriage and I have booked for her H4 stamping at Chennai during 1st week of June 2006.
Will she face any problem since I will not be travelling with her.

Anyone in the same position, might have done before, please advise me

I have not tried to do this myself, but a lawyer once told me that this is possible as long as she has her own petition which comes with I-797.
Take a legal advice on this, I am sure it can be done one way or another.
