h4 stamping after change of status

Hello,
I had visited USA in 2001 and again visited USA in July 2002 on visitor visa and got married after 3 mths and therefore, changed my status from visitor to H4. Now I am planning a trip to Pakistan and get my H4 Stamped for the first time. My husband's h1 is not visa stamped. I needed to know if my (A) CHANGE OF STATUS, (B) HUSBAND VISA NOT STAMPED, can cause any complications in my getting the h4 visa. Also, my H4 Status has been renewed as well.

any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Opal

I assume your husband is staying in USA, while you are going alone to Pakistan. So you will apply for H-4 separate from your husband. If this is the case, I donot think there is a problem.

The biggest obstacle to H1, or H4 stamping is background check. The criterion is to do a background name check on Pakistani Males between a certain age range. As far as I know females are excluded. So you should not be stuck because of this issue.

I donot think change of status or husband visa not stamped are restrictive issues.

My two cents!
