got h4 visa successfully.
Actually i got two different answers from all the side. But i do remember i wrote my employer name and address on question no.20 in DS-156 for H4 when the first time we applied (in 2000). so i took a chance, i did the same again this time. in the personal interview surpricingly only one question asked.
"is your husband work with the same company since he entered in US?".
then asked to pay the second DD, she will recieve visa in couple of days. except one terrible experience.
while my wife waited in the gate with my daughter (7 month old), she was talking to my daughter in tamil. so the clerk, who happend to be tamil lady, told "if you want u can give ur daughter to somebody outside, its not necessary to bring the child with you". so my wife handed over my daughter to her mother and entered to the gate again. without asking anything that clark assumed my wife wants to attend interview in tamil and put in tamil speaking counter. actually we mentioned no need any translater. she was waiting 3 hrs to call her by one of the counter. she started speak in english to the visa officer. suddenly visa officer asked 'if u know english why did u choose to tamil speaking officer, if u did choose english, u might not waited this long', and send her to one of the english speaking officer. thats the second mistake they did.
the second officer, started telling that 'you gave as wrong information, u should not ever do that', my wife explained that 'i didnot know all about this, especially we mentioned we dont need any translater in the appointment itself, the clerk assumed and did this herself because i was talking to my daughter in tamil'. but the office didnot agree with that and kept arguing that.
my wife will never give up. so she also kept arguing with the officer that 'i didn't do anything wrong, its not my mistake. i cannot take your word. i have 7 month old daughter waiting outside for about 4hrs, nobody will do the mistake'. finally the officer went to the clerk and asked about that. but that clerk told, 'i asked her, do u know tamil, she said yes, so i sent her to tamil speaking counter'. but she didnot ask that want to attend interview in tamil. visa officer came back and asked her one silly question which i mentioned first and asked my wife to pay the fee and send her out.
guys, if you happend to go the personal interview, dont take a chance like that. tell them what u want in first place. it was 5 hrs waiting but suppose to done in 1 or 2hrs.
