H4 request

Its about the new H4 visa rules at Mumbai consulate, that mandates to submit your documents 30 days before the interview appointment. Its very confusing and frustrating. If anyone reading this post just went through the process successfully, could you please post your experience. Or if you know someone around your friend circle who got married after July 2004, thats when the rule came into effect, could you please request them to add their experiences to this post.

It would be very very helpful to people like me who is going through it and have not much clue on how its going to work.

I really dont know this information that u need to submit the application 30 days before. is it just for the mumbai consulate or does it apply to chennai consulate too. there is no such info either in chennai or mumbai consulate website. who told u this and where did u find this information.

As far as I know, at other consulates, there is no such requirement. You should still do your research about other consulates.

you are right, this applies only to mumbai consulate and is not required for chennai. man it is really frustrating that rules are different for different consulates within the same country. i will definitely post any information if i find.
