My husband applied for his H1 transfer sometime back.I am on an H4.Do i have to apply seperately for H4 transfer.Pls reply.

Depends..

Normally, when your husband applied for new H-1B there should be a spearate form for your H-4. You should apply together and will get the approval together - each person has a separate I-797 though.

If your husband did not put your info when he applied for the new H-1B, you have to apply separately.

Since H-1B transfer is through the new company, the company's attorney should have applied for H-4 for you already. H-4 should be part of H-1B application pckage for people who have dependents.

My H-1B transfer application had H-4 applciaiton form for my dependents. We had H-1B and H-4 approved together.
