I have applied for my H1-B, expecting it in a month's time. My wife is in India and she applied for masters here for the fall 2003 session. She got admission and now we don't know whether she should apply for F1 and come here and study, or whether she shud come here on H4 and then study.
Also, if she comes on H4 then do I have to show bank statements and other documents to the univ before they let her enroll or my salary statements wud suffice and does she need to obtain an I-20 before enrolling.
Does the university allow an international student, whom it has granted admission while they were in a foreign country, to come on H4 and then enroll and study.
Last one, financial support documents need to be given to the univ before it sends I-20 or these documents are required only at the time of obtaining the F1 or H4 visa.
Please help, appreciate any info/suggestion.
