H4 interview in chennai

Hi,
My wife has to attend an interview in chennai for stamping her H4 approval.
Her previous H4 stamp expired more than a year ago.

1)i see several posts about missing docs, resume missing etc. etc. will the officer ask for all these docs during the interview, or should we offer it (say bank statements, paystubs, tax returns etc.) even when not asked for?

2)My wife's I94 also expired a year ago. She then received the H4 approval containing the new printed I94. Which one should she submit when leaving the country?

3)She has a 2pm appt. What is the maximum time by which she should be able to come out? The consulate closes by 5pm, right?

4)will she be asked to return the next day, if they cant handle the queue for that day?

5)My H1 approval - she only needs to carry a copy of that, right?

6)What are the ORIGINAL docs needed, in addition to passport, company letter, her H4 approval?

- Try to show whatever they ask, but take everything you can

- They will keep the card which was given to her by officer when she entered

No one can guess, hopefully in 45 minutes

Again can't predict, but if she has appointment, she will be attended as per the appointment, because that is the whole purpose of appointments

She needs Original of your H-1 approval.

6)What are the ORIGINAL docs needed, in addition to passport, company letter, her H4 approval?

regarding question 5, could someone confirm whether she needs to carry my Original H1 approval? (i have to get it from my lawyers if required)

the chennai consulate website says 'copy of 797'.
i dont want to send this doc to her if she doesnt need it, because i may need it (?) on my trip later.

anybody has any experience with this?

You are right, on Chennai consulate website it says "copy" but on Delhi website it says "original". Since my wife went to Delhi Consulate she took original.

Ask her to call the consulate and find out, if they say "copy" ask her to take the name of the person to whom she talked to and the phone number and time so that she can reference it when she goes for the interview.
