H4/I94/485 confusion

Hi,
I filed my 485 end of last year. My wife travelled to india before the parole was approved. She got her H4 stamp on the passport from the chennai consulate.
She re-entered US using H4 and 485 receipt.
One month later, we both started using EAD.

When I look at her I94, the officer has just written 'H4'. There is no mention of 485 or Adjustment of Status.
Is this an issue at all?
If yes, what steps to take to fix it?

In your case, you are fine because your wife was in H4 status prior to working.

I am currently working for the sponsoring company and my wife is using EAD for work. We both have valid H1B/H4 stamp in the passport. We are planning to go INDIA next month.

Does my wife needs ADVANCE PAROLE or she can use H4 stamp. How about me. Can I use H1B stamp. Please share your experiences.

I have a question regarding I-94.
Iam going to apply I-140/485 and I need to fill out period of stay in the 485 form. I went to india two times and currenly I have only one I-94 card and I dont know the Previous I-94#'s. What should I do ?. If i dont fill out the previous I-94#'s what will happen?

You could use either H1 at POE. I dont see a problem here since its still valid and you have a stamp in the passport.

Your wife could use H4 or AP as long as they both are valid.

i am not exactly sure. but i think your wife CANNOT use H4 once she starts using her EAD. so, she may need AP. again, not very sure.

i dont remember giving any I94#s either. what you need are the arrival and departure dates, which you can try to remember or try to lookup from the stamps/seals in your passport.


regarding my wife's I94, she was on valid H4 status before and after her travel.

my only question is, if your 485 is filed and you are travelling on H1/H4, at port-od-entry does the new I94 mention anything about 485/AOS?
