H4 - how long does it take

Hi guys,
This is for my friend. He is going to India to get married. How long will it takes for the H4 to arrive for his spouse once they leave their application in the drop-box.

Depends upon the city from which you are applying, it will take 2-8 days. If you are applying from the same city at which the consulate is, then it should not take more than 2 days to get your passport back.
