My wife has switched from H4(stamped) to H1, 2 years back & she is working directly for a reputed US company since then.
My understanding is that she can't apply for H1 stamp in St.Louis , because she doesn't have a prior H1 stamp. So she need to visit india for getting H1 stamp.
I would like to know of possible issues while stamping at new delhi. I guess she will be called for interview & i have heard of some horror stories of considerable delay due to security checks & Denial.
Pls share your experience & knowledge.
