H4 - H1 status (URGENT)

I am here on H1B Visa and my wife joined me on H4 visa. While she was
in US she got her H1B processed and cleared but she is not planning to
join the employer for another 3-4 months (No stamping has been done).
Need to know what will be her status.
And in case within this 3-4 months period if she goes back to India
and comes back, will there be any problem. Can she still use her H4 to
come back or she needs to get the H1 stamped.

With respect to your wife, if she is on the H-1 then she must either file to
change to H-4 or leave the country as soon as she stops working. She cannot
somehow claim H-4 status without either changing within the U.S. or
traveling and returning.

She should be able to return using the valid H-4 visa and proof of your H-1
status.
