H4 extend and EAD

I and my wife filed I485 in June and my wife also got her EAD approved. Now it\'s time to extend my H1 and my wife\'s H4, but someone told me it\'s not necessary to extend my wife\'s H4, only extend my H1 is OK, is that true? can someone share your experience?

Correct

Just extend your H1 and get an EAD for your wife (she can not work with H4).... If your application is denied (I hope not), your wife always can get a new H4 based on your H1.
