Hello all,
My H4 and EAD are expiring soon on May 19th, 2025. We applied the extension in Dec 2024 for H1b, H4, and EAD. H4 and EAD are still pending, but I have a valid visa stamp until May 19th. We were planning to cross the border in Mexico to revalidate my I-94 based on my husband's approval I-797, but his status is still showing as "Approval Case Decision rendered" since April 2nd, 2025. It has not changed to "Approved" yet. We have contacted his employer's legal team to check about the new I-797, but they could only provide us with a copy of the I-797 approval. My question is if the new I-797 does not arrive before the expiry date, can we still cross the Mexico border and get I-94 revalidated on the basis of the I-797 copy? Please help.
