H4 denied. Re-enter through Canada/Mexico or India

Wife is on H1. I was laid off and applied for an H4 status adjustment. This status adjustment was denied because of a 15 day delay in filing the application from the date of lay-off.

I need to re-enter the country with a valid status. Is it advisable to get this in India or Canada/Mexico?
 
Go to India and get H4

Going to India is the best bet for you. My wife did the same thing, she got her H4 (from H1). It will cost you same, as going to Canada n number of times.
