H4 & Ap

I'm H1 and my wife is H4. I'm thinking of file I-485 & AP. I still want to keep my H1 status. My wife is going to travel outside US. If she use AP while coming back to US, what's her status will be? How about mine?

Her status is I485 adjustee. Does not affect the primary's status (can be still on H1)

What if she uses EAD to work while I'm still in H1. Will this change my status? She is dependent of mine on I-485.

no if wife use EAD doesnt change your status. she will become AOS adjustee status
if you use your EAD, then you loose your h1 and you also will become AOS adjuste status.

Also if she has a valid h4 and uses AP, just for travel, doesnt change her status
only if she uses EAD , her status will be changed t0o AOS
