After warning you I'm not a lawyer. Sure, I don't think H4 is any problem, as H4 is as much "dual intent" as H1 is. Just be sure that the employer sponsoring the GC is a real company and will stand behind you for the 1-2 years GC will take.
And don't forget that you'll be expressing intent to immigrate by applying for immigration (dah!) and so, you may find it difficult to obtain F or B visas in future.
