After getting married in December, I plan to return to the US immediately while my wife will join me later after her H4 is stamped. My understanding is that the original I-797 is required at the POE. And at the same time, after going through the postings in this forum, it seems that my wife would need my original I-797 when applying for the visa. Is this mandatory ? In which case I'll have to send my original I-797 to my wife.
Any advise on this will be very helpful.
