H4 and AP - status related question

Hi,

If a person on H4 status having a valid EAD (but not having used it) travels on AP, will that person's status change? Or will it remain H4?

If the status will change, to what?

AP has nothing to do with status. it is travel document only. if the person is on H4 and not working/intend to work, EAD does not matter. He/she can travel on AP and still maintain an non-immigrant status. I am assuming that a I485 is pending for this person.

I think it is not that way.Once you use your AP to travel then you are on Adjustee status no longer on H4.

H4 persaon can travel on H4 itself why to use AP.
