I have problem with my H4 visa I-797 approval notice. My name has been swapped on my H4 I-797 approval notice with my husband's name as USCIS made mistake.
My husband's employer called USCIS office on friday and USCIS recommended to file "amendment" and request for a corrected I-797 approval notice. Also the representative at USCIS side could not find my information in their system. strange and i do not know the reason...it may be that their system reflected my husband's name too.
but i have a big problem where i need your advise or some inputs.
I have to go to india on Aug/12 and come back on Aug/26. My husband and myself has already booked an appointment (Aug/08) in Ottawa, Canada for Visa revalidation on our passports. We have booked all tickets to India and all too.
Now my question is:
how can i get my I-797 corrected before Aug/08 ? any advise or suggestion ?
