I’m Canadian citizen, and I currently live in U.S. under H4 visa (my spouse has H1B, she is in process for LC). I’m trying to find out if I would be eligible to work under the NAFTA agreement. I have Mechanical Engineer degree from a Non-U.S. University and Master of Business Administration degree from a U.S. University. My questions are:
1) Does anybody know what kind of jobs I would be eligible for under the NAFTA agreement and be approved for TN status (considering my education and list of NAFTA occupations)? My guess is that I fit into Engineer and Consultant Management description (considering my MBA degree), but I’m not sure. Also, what positions Consultant Management does include? Any management position?
2) Do I need to have any experience in these fields, or degree requirement is sufficient?
3) Is this going in any way to interrupt my wife’s process for LC?
4) If I get job under the TN status, can I keep it, or I need to go back to H4 once my wife’s LC is approved in order to stay in process for GC with her?
I would appreciate your help very much.
Thanks.
