Hi,
My name is William and I'm from the United Kingdom. My girlfriend currently lives in Cornelius, Oregon. Obviously I’m looking to move out there, hopefully next year if I can sort everything out. I'm a little confused about the whole process of gaining a H2B Visas for non-agricultural employment. I'm nearly 19 years of age and currently an Excavator Operator in the South East of England; I have two years experience in the Construction Industry, mainly driving heavy machinery. I have an agreement of stay at a permanent residence and have contacted a couple of Construction companies around the area that are looking for Machine Operators and seem willing to help. I've visited The US numerous times and wish to seek employment out in Oregon for at least a year.
- I understand that the employer files a labor certification application for temporary employment, including ETA Form 750.
- Then I’d have to file the petition form I-129H,
- Then if accepted, I’d be able to apply for a visa.
I’m fully aware of most of the happenings during the process of these three applications. I’ve re-searched numerous sites and it seems like each site says something different! This is were I get confused and I was wondering if anyone on the forum would be willing to clear it up for me
Thanks
William James
