Our application for an h2b visa on behalf of a South African caregiver for our 2 year-old with cerebral palsy and special needs was approved by all the US Gov't agencies, but when the time came to get the visa at the embassy in Johannesburg, she was denied.... the poor girl was told we were just looking for 'cheap labor' and she was just trying to 'get back to America'. She was our au pair two years ago, and has special skills relative to our daughter's special needs. We've already spent over $5k on this application process and waited for 6 months without childcare so the 'cheap labor' argument is absurd. Do we have any recourse?
