H1Bs or DV lottery?

As far as I know that h1b programs brings around 65000 qualified professionals into US every year. At the same time DV-200x lottery brings almost the same (50000-55000) number of people but who don't speak English, have no education and no work skills. Also DV lotteries are biased (only certain nationalities are allowed). Plus the h1b people are here only for a limited period of time, when DV winners are here forever.

Shouldn't we start talking about stopping all types of immigration lotteries instead of opposing the proposed H1b ban? We may get a lot more support this way....

Ask any American: Do you want to have a foreigner as your manager or maid? The obvious answer is maid.
H1Bs take high paid jobs but others take low paid jobs. That's the reason there is no opposition for illegal immigration, asylum, DV lottery, TPS, Family based immigration,...............
I don't think there is any politician to buy our idea of allowing only EB based immigration since they care about their political career than the future of America.

You couldn't be more right Edison. No one cares about immigrants who are low skilled and lack education, because they do all the dirty work for low wages. Jus imagine how much it would cost to landscape, do laundry have your cars washed etc., if people had to paid fair wages? Even though this kind of immigration is bad in the long run no one cares. even the politicians employ illegal workers to clean their homes etc.,

The right way to go would be to identify the skills that are in short supply and get in more skilled workers to do those jobs, this approach has been adopted in New Zealand( and other countries) and has worked well.
