I am H-1B 4th Year Company A ( valid until 2010), renew dates not stamped on passport. working for company A, who has applied for my labor and I 140 that got approved in April 2007.
I had applied my I 485 in Aug 1 2007 and have received the Receipt notice as Sep 26, 2007
I have also applied for I 131(AP) & I 765(EAD) so overall I am assuming I 485 as pending.
With my above situtions, my marriage have been proposed to set in Dec 2007 and probably I might need to move and leave this job by April 2008.
My future spouse is GC holder and have told me that he can apply for citizenship in Feb 2008.
Now in given scenrio, my major concern is to protect my legal status and most importantly my GC process, from being revoked and to continue in manner so I don;t get any problems, in future for any immigration related issues example : applying for citizenship in future.. As for GC I have been struggling from last 3 years. like all other world..
Its quite obvious that I might not find another job very soon.. if I just move after I get my EAD and try to find a job on that EAD.
Is this correct that the job skill should match to the current one on H1B ?
Can I find a job of different skill set, if I ask company B to apply/ transfer for my H1-B. And my GC with company A can progress normal?
What are my options for when my I 485 get approved and I have EAD in 180 days or if does not get approved in 180 days. I am not sure how does this work.
Is this still true that I have to work for company A (current) for atleast another 3-6 months if the I 485 get apptoved in 6 months of applying. to show my intent to work for it.
Can someone please give me some suggestions that what are my best options in this situations.? I would really appreciate Thanks a lot... in advance for taking time to help me.
