Hi there,

A basic question: for a UK citizen willing to move to USA, since the moment of the application for the job, and assuming that everything goes right so that they offer you the job and accept to sponsor you the H1B, till you eventually can move to USA to start working for that company, how long does it take approximately?

A couple of weeks for the preparation of the paperwork by the law firm. Then the law firm will file LCA with department of labor and then they can sent the whole package to UCCIS. With premium processing that can be done in 15 working days if I remember correctly. After that you need to apply at the consulate for the visa stamp. All in all about 4 to 8 weeks is a good estimate.
