I am currently holding H1-B sponsored by my working company. I just filed my I-485 (employer based) weeks ago. My lawyer did not ask me any tax return forms for the application. But one of my friend was asked for his last three years tax return form when he was filing his I-485 (NIW). I talked to my lawyer and he mentioned that tax form is actually not required. My questions is, under what kind of condition, CIS will need tax forms for I-485? Will they require my tax form later on?
I established a LLC and my tax form shows the income through my business. (1099 form). Will that be a problem in my furture I-485 application? I saw quite a few H-1Bs are have companies, do you guies have the same concern? Thanks for the help.
