I came to the US 2 years ago on a student visa. My OPT expired about 4 months ago and I am still in the US. Now I have an employer who is willing to sponsor me for an H1B visa. I understand that I will have to back to my home country to get the visa papers. I plan to leave the US once the sanction comes from the INS through premium processing. I was wondering if someone in here has been in a similar situation for I want to know what are the chances that I could be denied a visa in my home country especially in the light of the fact that I have overstayed my student visa by 4 months already and immigration authorities having become reportedly stricter since last year. Please let me know if you have had a similar experience.
