H1B vs EAD/AP after 140 approved

I am now on H1B which I changed from J1 one year before. I want to go to my home country, however I need to get stamped a new re-entry visa from my country.

Recently I have my 140 approved under EA, and applied for AP and EAD. I understand that using AP and/or EAD will invalidate H1B. Now I am little bit confused if I should use AP/EAD at this moment or I will continue with my H1B status until 485 approved. Is there any potential risk to use EAD/AP before 485 approved?
I appreciate your comment/suggestion.

It is preferable to continue on H1. It allows u to have a backup status in case ur 485 is denied for any reason. Get H1 stamped and enter the country using it.

On the other hand, the benefit of being on EAD is that u can work part-time elsewhere if u wanted to.
