I wanted to know what is the latest process for applying for a H1B visa if I have a US Employer sponsoring me? Do I need to apply in India itself or will the application have to be done in the US and then the endorsement done here in India?

The process is:

1. You employer files I-129 petition with BCIS.
2. The petition gets approved and is forwarded to a US consulate in India. You are notified and sent a copy of the approval.
3. You present yourself at the consulate with all relevant documentation and apply for a H1 visa.
