I need your suggestion about the apointment for H1B visa stamping.
Im staying in Bangalore and working for a major IT company in India.
Presently through TTServices I got appointment at Chennai consulate in April.
The Problem:
My earlier H1B visa was stamped as 'Cancelled without Prejudice' at the Mumbai consulate, due to certain reasons.
I)Can I take an appointment in Mumbai consulate for stamping?
(This because I have met the consular officr at Mumbai consulate and after talking to him for some time got my Visa 'Cancelled without Prejudice'.So when I again go to Mumbai for stamping,in th interview I can refer my case to them and the officer also)
2)Since my visa was misused by a job consultant in India,I got my Visa cancelled so that it couldnot be misused by him any more.
Now the other problem is:
a)I went to police station in Bangalore immediately then and lodged a complaint.The police then gave me an acknowledgement slip which a case number (which means they are aware of the case,but not FIR).This as you know it is difficult to convince Police to register a case as they need to investigate and all the stuff.
Question:Is this acknowledgement sufficient.Im also taking an affidavit from Attorney authorising the case number given in the acknowledgement and that the case is in process and am innocent.Will these two documents sufficient??
3)How can I get appointment at Mumbai consulate?
4)Can I take my lawyer also to the interview??
5)Will they allow to bring the lawyer also??(I was reading , the lawyer will not be allowed inside the interview room, but incase of refusal of Visa, he can talk)
Please suggest me , as I dont my Visa to be refused for some Consultant who cheated me.
