H1b visa refusal under 221(g)

hi ,
iam srikanth, i have been queried as (your application requiares additional administrative processing before a final decsion can be made.this office will contact you once this administrtive processing has been completed) and the consulate people had taken my original doc.(degree certificate(btech mechanical),US papers,present experience papers) but returned my passport back....by saying we will get back to youafter 40 to 45 days,with a given case number on the issued 221(g) form.
what should i do know .....?and how long will it take to complete this administrative process..?
i will be very kind ...if you answer to my quary...

Hi,

I had a similar situation at Chennai last September, the only difference being they did not return my passport. It was an excruciating period of wait but I finally got my visa stamping after 5-6 weeks. So be patient, and things will work out fine.

Chennai issued 221g on Jan 12th

Hi to all,

I went for H1 visa stamping and lady looked at all my paper work, later she asked me for my Masters degree cerft's original. I gave those and she said we will give you call after we verify thIS masters degree certificates.

My masters degree in InformationTechnology from LONDON. No time line is given. Can anyone tell me what time frame will be for this and what is the impact with this.

Please any help will be great.

221(g) at US Consulate Delhi in Sept (Greatguru can you reply)

My cousin also got 221(g) in Sept from US Consulate, Delhi. They said they need additional information from Washington which takes 4-6 weeks, but it has been above 4 months. They haven't kept any single document. Just asked his name, salary and took fingerprints. His second name is singh and someone told me that the people with common second names eg.Singh, patel, shah, stand more chance of such problems in H1B.

When he called them the consulate, they replied that it is still under processing. He also wrote an email to them and they replied with same thing.

Does is take as long at 4-5 months?

I want to know can any other employer apply for his H1 in coming quota, and will his 221(g) on previous H1 have any impact on filing a fresh H1. I am askking ths coz he is getting more offers from US companies, and his Indian employer also intends to file his H1.

Its really gonna take take sometime out of your life so keep on moving with it its sour but its truth one of my friend got 221(g) similar to wat u guyz r gonng thru and after 8 months he got back his originals and they denied him the visa so keep ur fingers cross,its all bout how the counsillor thinks of you at that moment so if ur lucky enough some might get it some may not.
