am a financial journalist who was offered appointment by a US company in the field of business intelligence as a business systems analyst. I have worked in a financial newspaper as a research analyst for nine years. I am a CFA from CFA institute of USA, ACA and a grad CWA from ICWAI along with Bcom from Madras University.
Went for visa interview last week. The VO asked me for experience certificate. I provided her one which said I write analytical articles. The VO was surprised and remarked that my work experience does not gel with what is expected of me in my new job. She also told me that my academic qualifications are not in order. I told her that when the petition was processed, they asked for educational evaluation which was duly provided from an accredited agency. She said she will not consider it. I told her I am a CFA charter holder and she said she did not know what CFA was. She also said CA and ICWA are not recognised. She finally gave me 221g saying that she is sending the documents back to the US for additional administrative processing.
The letter states that in the course of the interview she found that I was not qualified for a visa. I am not able to understand. Everything I provided during the interview was not new. I-129 clearly stated that my field of study was finance, that I am a financial journalist and educational evaluation was provided.
I also read on some websites that additional processing is for investigation of possible fraud and that the petitioner would be sent notice as to why the approval should not be revoked. I feel helpless. Do I have any hope
