My Visa is expiring this month end.My present employer says he cant extend. What should I do now.Is it possible to stay after the expiration and try for new visa .I need immdeiate help

You have 5 choices

1. Convince the employer to file an extension
2. Find another employer and file a "transfer"
3. Change to another visa status
4. Overstay your visa and stay illegally
5. Pack your bags

I-140 cleared with previous employer....any chance??

Hi All,
My previous employer did not cancel my immigration process and the I-140 has now been cleared. My 6 years of H-1 expire in June and my current employer is ready to file for an extension (labor is pending in the current company). In this case scenario, if my previous employer gives me a letter of intent, does that help me in any way? If I file for 485 on the basis of that letter, will that help me stay in the country after the 6-year expiry?
Please help..
thanks,
Nikki.
