H1B visa holder marrying to a permanent resident

Hello Guys,

I am looking for cases for spouses of Green Card holder, who are
on H1B visa or trying to get H1B visa or transferring the visa. My
girlfriend has a valid H1B visa and currently staying in her home
country. She is planning to enter the U.S. and then get married.
I wonder if she can face any legal issues in various cases. Here
are the few of them:

1. If she gets married to me in the U.S. and then apply for H1B
transfer, will that create a problem for her to get the transfer
approved bcoz of her status being spouse of a permanent
resident ? I know H1B visa allows dual intent, but I am not sure
if that will be applicable in this scenario.

2. In case the INS/US-CIS asks her to go to her home country to
get her H1B visa stamped, will her status of being spouse of a
permanent resident create any problems at the consulate ?

3. Any pointers on similar situations/cases in this site or
elsewhere will be greatly appreciated.

And last, does anybody has idea how long it is taking to get family
based green card approved ? I guess I need a moderate
estimate on that.

1. Mere marriage does not change her immigration status nor does it interfere with the H1 transfer process
2. No, Even if a I130 (GC application for her) is pending the US consulate cannot deny H1 stamp based on that fact.
