H1B visa for a physician

Hello,

I am a foreign medical graduate in US and preparing for my USMLE parts. I am planning to get in to the residency in 2008. I will need H1B for my residency. My question is that possible if some one else sponsor me for my H1b and I do my residency at other place..because there are many consultants who sponsor H1B visa and you pay them the required fees to get h1b. By doing this a foreign medical graduate can broaden his/her hospital search....Thanks in advance

Consultants who sponsor you for a job for which you are not qualified, does not pay the amount set forth in the petition as the prevailing wage and for whose "favor" you are paying the required fees are committing fraud.
You are far better off not geting mixed up in such a scheme. Get your residency spot and then persuade your residency to sponsor your H1b visa themselves.
