H1B Visa Extention Stamping in Vancouver

This forum was so useful for me ever since I came to U.S.
This is my chance to contribute to it by sharing my exp at consulate

My status H1B extention.

I had previous H-1B visa stamping from Chenai.

I did my masters in U.S, I had that stamping too.

When I went to consulate in vancouver, they took passport, company letter and H-1B paper nothing else.

After finger prints, they called for interview, Questions they asked

1) How long was I working for my company.(which was more than 4 years)

2) Are you still working for my company?
Yes

The things you shouldn't worry about

1) Don't worry about photograph sizes stuff, I think what they are particular is photo's background which should white or half white.

2) I have not seen any H-1 rejections.

3) I have seen F-1 rejection for some Oriental origin girl due to bank balance.

4) They give back the visa on the same day.

5) Vancouver consulate is located on Thurlow and Pender.

6) For h-1 extentions I don't see any problem getting visa.

7) Don't get your cellphones, floppy disks, not even your remoteless key for car.

Thanks for the post. For how long was your old visa valid? My stamp is valid until March 2005 but I'm thinking of applying for a new one in January.. but Im worried that I may be too early, and they will ask me to come back in early March. Do you know of any such rule? Thanks
