H1B Visa expired .Can I apply for new H1B

My 6 years H1B expired in JUne 2003 and am awaiting GC while waiting for I-485 to be adjusted.
I made the mistake of not applying for H1 7 year extention.
Can I apply for fresh H1B through same company so that I can bring my wife here on H4??

Yes you can do that. I think. But only hitch will be they may extend the stay. So you may need to for H1 stamping to consulate.
