I am an H1B visa holder and I am on my 5th year. Last year (2004) I worked for an company for 4 months and got my H1 visa transferred to another company and I am working with this company till date.

My previous employer gave w2 and 1099 forms. (2 month income was paid to me thru 1099-misc)

My current employer gave w2 form.

I am not worried about w2 forms. But I am more worried about 1099-misc form as I don't know how to show this in my tax filing. (I am getting 1099-misc for the first time).

I am not interested in applying for GC. I just want to finish my 6 years of H1b and go home.

Please kindly guide me on how to show this 1099-misc in my tax filing. The amount I recd thru 1099-misc is shown in Non-employee compensation.

Thanks in Advance.

As an Employee , u cannot get 1099 . It if for non -employment compensation and on H1-b it is not right to get it .

U may be charged for working illegally if caught by CIS or IRS
