I came to the US on a F1 visa, and there is no expire date on a I94 when you come to the US on a student visa. I worked for a companyy for a year on OPT, and my H1b was approved last week and will start 1 Oct 2012. I am not happy working for this company anymore and would like to transfer to another company. I have a few questions though... My lawyers said I don't have to leave the US to get a visa stamp if I don't want to for my new H1b. I read that you need a valid stamp and i-94 to do a transfer? Does that mean I have to leave the country to get those before applying for a transfer?
Also, my company just started with my labor cert, will I lose that if I transfer, or will it effect anything? ( I paid for the H1b and GC applications)
