H1B transfer - when can i start

Hi Folks,
I have a question regarding change of job. I want to shift from company A to company B. The new company, "B" says that I can work even before I get approval say they file for transfer today and I can work from tomorrow onwards and no need to wait for approval. Is this true? Your timely help is greatly appreciated.
 
You can start as soon as INS receive application

If it is H1B to H1B transfer then you can start work for employer-B as soon as INS receive your papers. Normally when you send paper track on Fed-Ex and see when INS received your paper and you can start work for your new employer. I did same thing.
