I got lay off on Dec 1st week 2001 and working to apply for H1B transfer in Janury 2nd week. My previous employer told me they wont inform INS till end of Feb 2002 about my lay off. Is there is any problem in getting visa transfer? Also any idea how long it takes to get the receipt (h1b transfer) in recent days?
