Could someone help me out with my H1B issue!!!
I got laid off from a company back in June '04. I applied for transfer of H1B through a consulting firm. After applying for my H1B transfer, the consulting firm got a letter back in Nov '04 from INS requesting the following documentation:
- W2
- Contract Agreement
- Work Orders
- Contract between my current employer and I
I just found out today (May 23rd, 2005) from my immigration lawyer that my H1B transfer was denied. So they have send my appeal to Administrative Appeals office.
My question is, am I still in status and can I still continue to work as my new project starts from May 31st? What steps should I take to maintain my status.
Any help will be appreciated!!!
