I am on H1B visa and I'll be completing 6 years in Dec 31 2004. I recently changed my job and the new company applied for the H1 transfer on 06/08/2004. Do you know how long the transfer takes in Chicago?. I tried to look for the processing time on the Internet and I am confused, can you please help me?.
Also I am planning to go to India in Sep 2004, do you think by that time I can get my visa transfered to the new company?.
One more question, because I will be left with only 4 more months on my visa and need the new stamping at Chennai, would there be any possibilities that I may get rejected for stamping?. Is it safe to go to India now and can I get the stamping and come back to USA?.
