H1B transfer How recent should the pay stubs be????

I am asking this because I need paystubs to apply for a Transfer of H1B. How old can the pay stubs be??? My company has stopped using a Payroll provider and my last 2 paychecks are company paychecks with no paystubs... Will the photocopy of these be sufficient enough?? My company is closing down and so If I need to apply for a new H1B will the photocopy of company checks be good enough???
